Sports Sale/Swap

Saturday, February 24, 2018
K.C. Ling Elementary School – 9 am – 2 pm

Hemlock Youth Baseball & Softball will be holding a Sports Swap/Sale for anyone interested.  Do you have any sports equipment laying around that your family no longer has a use for?  If so, you can bring the items to the school to either donate them to raise money for the program, or bring them to be sell them yourself.  Depending on the condition of the items, some may be free!  This is a great way to find some barely used items for your child’s upcoming sports.

This sale is the same day & time as the Mom 2 Mom Sale sponsored by the PTO.

This is how it works:  If you have items to sell - bring it up at 8:30 Saturday morning with your asking price! (If you would like to drop it off to Angie 989-928-3806 or Sarah 989-529-5419 prior you can do that as well)  If you have items to donate - bring it and we will either sell it or donate it to a child who can use it.  All proceeds will go to the league helping offset costs.

PLACEMENTS

Saturday, March 17, 2018
Hemlock Middle School - 535 N Maple St, Hemlock, MI 48626

Girls Minors - 8am-9am                     Girls Major/Major A - 9am-10am

Boys Minors - 10am-11am                 Boys Majors & Pony - 11am -12pm

Bring your glove with you!

Placements will be MANDATORY for your child if he/she is playing anything above coach-pitch.
Here's how placements work:  each child will be assessed and given a score of 1-5 (only coaches know these scores) then the coaches go through each group of scores and divides that group onto the teams as equally as possible, then they go to the next group of scores and does the same until all score groups are divided amongst the teams as equally as possible.  The goal is to even the teams out with kids of all skill levels.  (i.e. if there are 6 kids that all are 1's, 9 kids that are all 2's and 3 teams then each team will have 2 players with a score of 1 and 3 players that had scores of 2.)

GIRLS PITCHING HELP

Calling all Girls from Coach-Pitch age and up
who are interested in learning/practicing pitching!

Weekly training sessions have begun - Mondays in the Elementary gym from 3-5.  Bring your glove!  You don't have to commit to EVERY Monday, any you can make it would be great!  (Obviously the more practice you get the better your chances of improvement are.)
